I am heartbroken to announce that our beloved Toby left us late September. Words cannot convey the profound sadness I feel. He was my constant companion. I will miss his quiet strength and gentleness terribly. Although we were together for such a short time, he brought joy and happiness to not only our family, but to the patients he visited as a therapy dog. He touched so many people's lives. I will cherish the time we had together and be forever grateful that I was blessed and privileged to have had such a great dog in my life. I know his puppies will carry on his legacy and like their sire, will be true ambassadors for the breed. Toby will live in my heart forever.

Slightly out of focus, almost ethereal - a picture of Toby as I imagine him running in the grass at the Rainbow Bridge - happy, healthy and vibrant...a few more steps and we will be reunited again!
